Dear Mr. Mols, this note is to thank you for your cooperation in returning our down payment on the Murphy bed that we ordered before our house was completed. I misjudged the space of the room and then found out that there was not sufficient room for the bed and other required furniture. I realize that you were not obliged in any way to return our money, but you did so without any admonitions on my miscalculations. As we are pensioners, this was money we could not afford to lose.
